Optimised Health and Performance Screen
Nutritional deficiency, stress and immune system dysfunction are some of the most common causes of non-accidental illness, absenteeism, poor performance and lack of energy.
We have developed this screen to look at how your underlying health and unique stress and nutritional profile might be affecting your day-to-day quality of life, vitality and performance. Our health report will offer you tailored advice to help optimise your position today, and into the future.
The screen includes:
- Detailed questionnaire to look at health, lifestyle and dietary issues
- Health and wellbeing assessment conducted by one of our nurses. They will measure 23 important parameters such as blood pressure, urinalysis, body weight, BMI, fat, hydration levels, total cholesterol, blood sugar and oxygen saturation.
- Stress analysis, using an innovative saliva test to measure cortisol and DHEA levels. Cortisol is the body’s long-term stress-coping hormone and DHEA is the precursor (building block) for many different hormones and metabolic pathways in the body.
- This test also measures sIgA, an immuniglobin. These compounds protect membranes like the intestine against bacteria, funguses and other infections, as well as toxic compounds and foods that may be the cause of allergy. Excess stress, physical or psychological, can reduce sIgA and act as a suppressant on the immune system as a whole.
- Nutritional profile. This is another innovative test, based on a urine sample, which measures by-products from cellular metabolism which will change in the presence of deficiencies. This pioneering method of establishing nutritional status supercedes the use of blood sample, where the results will be affected by the last meal eaten.
The screen will be conducted by one of our nurses and the results analysed, and reported on, by one of our integrated doctors. You should have your report about four weeks after your screen date, having allowed sufficient time for the processing and analysis of your samples.
Cost £500.
