Cancer

The Diagnostic Clinic’s cancer risk screen uses advanced blood tests to investigate for the presence of certain compounds released from cancerous cells. It is an effective way of diagnosing the disease in its very early stages, well before tumours could be detected by typical scanning equipment.

The benefits are:

  • disease can be detected much earlier, providing greater opportunity for treatment to halt its development
  • we test for functionality and disease. MRI type scans can only screen for the presence of a physical anatomical presence, by which time the disease has already become established
  • individuals are not exposed to the radiation of scanning machines
  • the tests are inexpensive, many times cheaper than CT body scans
  • tests do not need a doctor’s referral
  • individuals do not need to wait until a disease has developed before seeking the assurance of an regular check

The screen will be conducted by one of our nurses and you will have a short consultation with a doctor, to ensure that they have all the relevant information and to fully explain the screen to you. On receipt of all the test results, they will prepare your personalised health report. This should be ready four weeks after your screen date, having allowed sufficient time for the processing and analysis of your samples.

Cost £450.
