Complementary and Alternative assessment - CAM
(Screen lasts approximately 75 minutes)
This unique screen uses a combination of practitioners from proven complementary disciplines, informative laboratory tests and pioneering machines. Each practitioner will report on your health from their own perspective. One of our integrated doctors will then assess each of these reports, together with your test results, and produce your health report.
The screen includes:
Practitioners
- Structural assessment by an Osteopath – osteopathy will determine a person’s posture, gait, muscular condition and their effect on bodily functions
- Functional and energetic assessment by an Oriental Physician, applying diagnostic techniques used effectively for thousands of years in Asia
Machines
- Analysis by AMI machine – a computerized program that measures energetic flow and impedance, indicating possible weaknesses in body function by measuring the Eastern principle of energy flow through the body using a combination of osteopathic & oriental principles.
- HLB – high powered microscopy of a pin prick blood sample –analysis of blood cellular health, deficiencies and toxicity and indicates the presence of potentially harmful free-radicals and pathogens
Sample tests
- Hair mineral analysis – assesses hair mineral content that may deliver valuable information about absorption and deficiencies
- Acid / Alkaline status (saliva test) – measures imbalances in pH status in the body, a frequent indicator of impending ill health or a cause in itself
Your health report
The CAM screen is conducted by one of our nurses and three practitioners, each an expert in their own discipline.
An integrated doctor will then review all their reports and your other results, and prepare your personalised health report. This will cover your state of health, highlight any risk areas and provide advice and recommendations to help optimise your wellbeing.
This should be ready four weeks after your screen date, having allowed sufficient time for the processing and analysis of your samples and the full review of all your results.
