TDC Vaccination Alternatives for Private and Corporate Patients
Many people have concerns regarding vaccinations. Whether this is as simple as a needle phobia or a concern over the safety of vaccinations. TDC believes in offering patients informative choices between vaccinations or using natural components to boost the immune system. Although natural immunity may not work in the same way that a vaccine can, the stimulation of the anti-viral part of the immune system can be done using natural components known to protect and treat viral infections such as influenza or Swine Flu.
Either of these choices will be discussed during your consultation to find the best options that works for you.
Contact TDC today on telephone +44 (0) 207 009 4650 and find out about your choices...
Q. "Can you summarise in a short comment your thoughts on my being told I have high Cholesterol"?
A. The most important thing is to realise that cholesterol is not the only nor the main issue in arterial and cardiovascular disease. Certain facts highlight this. 50% of heart attacks occur in people who do not have raised cholesterol. 80% of arterial disease or coronary heart disease (CHD) occurs in those with normal cholesterol. Cholesterol levels are not dependent upon cholesterol foods but are dependent upon carbohydrates. Good carbs such as wholegrain foods also tend not to be an issue, it is the refined sugars and foods such as white bread, white pasta and the hidden sugars in things like alcohol that tend to cause the problems. Carbohydrates are converted to cholesterol. Of more concern are inflammatory markers and insulin resistance. Also Cholesterol is only an issue if it is of small particulate size and of the sticky variety and even then it may only stick to arterial walls if they are damaged or inflamed. Most damage occurs in smokers, those overweight, those not exercising and those eating too many sweet foods. There is also a marked protective factor from this inflammatory response in people who have high fruit and vegetable intake. Ideally we recommend a specific test known as CV Health which is a blood test designed in the US. This looks at the good and bad cholesterol in detail, inflammatory markers and insulin resistance amongst other things. It raises the prediction of coronary heart disease from the conventional 55% to 84%. 29 more lives potentially saved and countless numbers led to avoid pointless if not harmful drugs. The next thing to consider is whether there has been any arterial occlusion, blockage or damage so far. We do that here in TDC, and are the only place currently in the UK, using the Arteriograph. This test was part of one of the largest studies in arterial disease, The Framingham Study, the world has seen yet it is not used much world wide. Why? Might be because it is a better predictor of heart disease than conventional testing ( the 'Gold Standard' exercise ECG only identifies arteries that are 70% or more blocked - well into the disease process) and that inhibits the sales of drug treatment...? We also recommend you visit www.29billion.com Please obtain from that site or Amazon books Justin Smith's "$29 Billion Reasons to Lie about Cholesterol". Go onto the web and search "women statins". You will see that there is very little evidence that is not markedly skewed by the pharmaceutical companies to support the benefits of statins in women. In other words please ask your doctor to carefully review the current evidence on the potential dangers of statins in women and their lack of benefit. If you are interested you can also search "statins elderly" to see their ineffectiveness for that age group as well. Lastly, tap in "statins co-Q10" and ask the question why doctors do not prescribe Co-Q10 when they give a statin.
